Join me in my efforts to support Team LRF at the Five Boro Bike Tour

As most of you know, I am a Hodgkin's Lymphoma survivor. I was diagnosed in December of 2007, and after undergoing chemotherapy in early '07, I am now in my 9th month of remission with an optimistic prognosis. As most of you also know, my brother Don is currently battling non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma after being diagnosed in September 2008. He has undergone some chemotherapy, but the cancer persisted. Don is now in the process of preparing for a stem cell transplant, which we hope will achieve lifelong remission.

I am dedicating my ride in this year's 5 Boro Bike Tour to Don, in honor of his courage and strength during this challenging time. Don has told me that he plans to regain his health & join Team LRF next year, so we can ride in the 2010 tour side by side!

I am convinced that in a few weeks, my brother will finish his treatment and put this disease behind him forever. It is my dream that cancer will someday become a distant memory for EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE.
