Latest Results on Genmab's Arzerra Look Promising

Previously untreated follicular lymphoma patients may benefit

Danish biotech Genmab announced on August 26^th that its Phase II study of Arzerra^TM (ofatumumab) in combination with cyclophophamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisone (CHOP) given to previously untreated follicular lymphoma patients had positive results. In patients receiving 1000 mg of Arzerra^TM, the overall response rate (ORR) was 100% including 38% with a complete remission (CR) and an additional 17% with an unconfirmed complete remission (Cru).

This positive news followed Genmab's and partner, GSK's announcement on August 17^ththat another study of Arzerra^TM with rituximab in refractory follicular lymphoma patients had disappointing results with only 10% showing a complete response in the 1000 mg treatment arm of the study.
