NFT is a non-profit organization, which assists bone marrow and organ transplant patients in raising funds to pay for transplant-related expenses that are not covered by insurance. NMDP facilitates unrelated donor stem cell transplants for patients with life-threatening blood diseases by recruiting donors, maintaining a registry of more than 4 million volunteer donors, and offering patient educational services. NMDP provides information on how to be listed as a potential donor and the Office of Patient Advocacy (OPA) will help patients work through the donor search and transplant process by providing information, referrals, support, and advocacy.
