A Profile of Hope—Mitchell's Story
In Mitchell’s own words:
I was diagnosed with lymphoma in May of 1973. It started with a sore throat and swollen glands; I first thought it was bronchitis
I was first treated with two weeks of daily radiation from the mid-diaphram up. Immediately after the two weeks a node grew quickly under my left arm. That was immediately removed. At that point they started me on an experimental chemotherapy protocol which consisted of six treatments once a month.
It has been over 35 years and I am feeling great, outside of aches and pains that come with age.
I have learned that God has a plan for me. I really cannot pin point it . . . I am always looking for an opportunity to give someone else HOPE!
It has made me aware of how much God loves me and how He works in each of our lives. You see, the first morning in the hospital, I was awakened by this beautiful Medical Technician, she not only took my blood . . . she took my heart. She has been my wife for over 31 years!!
